The information on this page is intended solely for applicants who have been admitted as first-year students to the Juris Doctor program at University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, enrolling in the Fall 2027 semester. If you have reached this page in error, please return to the Brandeis Law homepage.
Brandeis Law 101
Brandeis Law 101 is a virtual overview of the law school experience that will be scheduled for February 2027. Topics covered at Brandeis Law 101 in past years have included the law school curriculum, Academic Success Program and Louis D. Brandeis Mentorship Program, plus a financial aid primer led by the Student Financial Aid Office and a Q&A with current students. Registration will open in early 2027.
Admitted Students Day
Admitted Students Day gives students the opportunity to see Brandeis Law firsthand while meeting many of the wonderful people who enrich our community and make it so special. Starting with an Welcome Reception in partnership with our friends at the Louisville Bar Association, Admitted Students Day will be scheduled for April 2027 and will feature a mock law class, panel sessions, a student organizations showcase and more. Registration will open in early 2027.
Law School Tours & Class Observations
For those who would like to visit our campus on their own schedule, we offer guided tours of the law school Mondays through Thursdays at 12 p.m. Eastern. Students can also observe a first-year law class the same days, available as either a complementary or standalone experience. To schedule a law school tour or class observation, please use our appointment calendar.
By request, we may be able to accommodate Friday tours for admitted students, but we cannot guarantee our availability. To request a Friday tour, please contact the Office of Admissions at lawadmissions@louisville.edu. (Class observations are not available on Fridays, since our first-year students have no Friday classes!) The law school building requires keycard access, and the Office of Admissions is small and not always on-site, so we are not equipped to assist unscheduled visitors.
For out-of-town visitors, we have prepared a Visitor's Guide with suggestions for places to stay, eat and explore. Even Louisvillians might find something new to experience in the city!
