March 30, 2026
The Women’s Law Caucus at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law recently hosted its first annual symposium at the George J. Howe Red Barn, bringing together students, alumni, faculty, and members of Louisville’s legal community for an evening of connection and celebration.
The event reflected the organization’s growth over the past year and highlighted the strong sense of community it continues to foster at Brandeis Law. The evening featured remarks from student leaders, a keynote address from Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Angela McCormick Bisig, recognition of outgoing and incoming executive board members, and presentation of the inaugural Women’s Law Caucus Award.
A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the first-ever $1,000 Women’s Law Caucus Award to Taylor Smith (1L), recognizing her leadership and impact within the organization.
Guests also had the opportunity to connect throughout the evening and participate in a silent auction, which raised approximately $1,500 to support future Women’s Law Caucus programming and initiatives.
As the organization’s first symposium of its kind, the event marked an important milestone for the Women’s Law Caucus and set a strong foundation for future programming, leadership, and community-building efforts.
