Sidebar
At the Brandeis School of Law, we uphold high standards of integrity, respect, and responsibility. Our policies and handbooks guide every aspect of student life—from academic expectations to campus conduct—laying the foundation for a professional career in law.
Student Handbook
The Brandeis School of Law Student Handbook outlines the key policies, procedures, and resources that shape life as a law student at UofL. It covers topics such as academic standards, grading policies, degree requirements, course registration, student services, and wellness support. It also includes important information on accommodations, professionalism, graduation requirements, and the role of university-wide policies. Students are expected to review the handbook regularly and use it as a go-to resource throughout their legal education.

Honor Code
The Brandeis Law Honor Code sets the standard for academic honesty, personal integrity, and professional conduct. It applies to all law students and governs matters such as cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, and other violations of ethical behavior. The code also emphasizes civility and respect within the classroom and broader law school community. Alleged violations are handled through a formal process that ensures fairness and student due process.

University‑wide Conduct Policies
In addition to Brandeis Law’s internal policies, all students are subject to the University of Louisville’s broader standards of conduct. These policies cover a wide range of expectations related to academic integrity, nondiscrimination, Title IX compliance, campus safety, technology use, and student discipline. Together, they help ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all members of the UofL community. Law students are expected to follow these university-wide guidelines in tandem with the Brandeis Law Student Handbook and Honor Code.
